Every drain in your home is susceptible to clogging:

Kitchen: Kitchen drains often get clogged due to food, grease, and soap washed down during meal prep and dishwashing. Over time, this can lead to serious clogs and damage.

Tub and Shower: Adults daily lose up to 100 hair strands, most of which goes down the drain during bathing. Combined with shampoo and soap, hair can create a plaster-like buildup on pipe walls which leads eventually to stubborn clogs that block water flow.

Bathroom Sink: As sinks are used for tooth brushing and grooming, the bathroom sink is a common clog site. Toothpaste, hair, and beauty products can accumulate, forming clogs that block water passage.

Toilet: Often overlooked as part of the plumbing system, toilets can clog from excessive toilet paper, feminine products, and sometimes even children’s toys. A clogged toilet can lead to larger issues in your plumbing system.

We’ll fix a clogged drain using various methods such as mechanical removal with a drain snake or auger or hydrojetting with high-pressure water. In severe severe cases we will advise pipe disassembly or replacement. The method depends on the clog’s severity and location.

When we get started, we’ll use a drain camera to examine the cause and then determine the best fix.

Leaky drains can weaken structures, cause mold and mildew, damage floors, and pose electrical hazards. Sometimes leaks lead to foul odors, attract pests, or result in higher utility bills due to wasted water. Quick repairs are essential to prevent these extensive, costly damages and maintain a safe, healthy living environment.

For severe clogs, we use a hydrojet, which is a tool that blasts high-pressure water through pipes to break apart stubborn blockages. It’s generally quicker and more effective than using standard drain snakes. Besides clearing clogs, hydrojets thoroughly clean pipe walls, removing residue and reducing the chance of future clogs or pipe damage.

1. Plumbing Snake: Also known as a drain snake or a plumber’s snake, this tool is a flexible, long wire coil with a corkscrew-like tip. It’s used to dislodge clogs in pipes by being fed into the drain and twisted to break through the blockage. Plumbing snakes are ideal for minor clogs, especially those close to the drain’s surface. Use a drain snake for sinks, showers, or tubs that are draining slowly or not at all, especially for soft clogs within 15 to 25 feet of the drain.

2. Auger: A toilet auger or closet auger is used primarily for toilet clogs. It has a long, flexible shaft with a specific, bent tube at the end designed to navigate the S-bend of a toilet without causing damage. The auger’s crank handle helps your plumber break up or retrieve the clog.
